Ready to finally kiss the overwhelm goodbye, quit guessing what to post, and start planning your posts with purpose? Let’s dive in!

1. BEHIND THE SCENES

Your followers want to see how you make your business work, and there’s no better way than to show them your day-to-day life! This invites your audience to see the "real life" behind your business. Pulling back the curtain gives your followers permission to imagine you working on their project, which can be very beneficial to building your clientele.

For example:

  • Your favorite places to work or create

  • What’s on your agenda or a project you’re working on

  • A tutorial relating to your product/service or industry

2. MY WHY

By sharing your why, or the reason you are in your line of work, you're inviting your audience to connect with you. As Simon Sinek says, "People don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it." People want to know the purpose behind your business, so it’s important to share it!

For example:

  • The person who inspires you in business

  • Your overarching mission that fuels your work

  • The reason you started your business and how it has evolved over time

3. PERSONAL INSIGHT

Your audience wants to hear fun facts, personal stories, and your wisdom! Whether you're a business or personal brand, the key to sharing personal insight is to share your tips and perspective in a way your ideal client/customer can benefit from. Giving an inside look at who you are can help personalize the conversations you have on social media.

For example:

  • Tips, tricks, and hacks that can help them relate to what you do

  • Values that you live by

  • Ways you've found to make life better or easier that your ideal client/customer would value

4. ENCOURAGEMENT

It’s been proven that quotes and inspirational messages perform well on social media. Use that to your advantage, while also brightening someone’s day! This is your opportunity to spread the love and encourage your audience on a rainy day, Monday morning, or just because.

For example:

  • A funny joke to lift their mood

  • How you get through a bad day

  • Your pump-up playlist to start the morning

5. ABOUT ME

This category covers all aspects of you as a person, bringing a personal side to your business. Share the things about you or your team as individuals that you'd feel comfortable telling a stranger on a plane.

For example:

  • Your favorite music to listen to while you work

  • A memorable experience from when you were younger

  • Your idea of a perfect Saturday

6. BENEFITS

Sharing the benefits of your business (results, feelings, etc.) is a great way to talk about your business without sounding “sales-y.” Share the long-term, emotional, or unexpected benefits of your product or service and direct your followers to your website or opt-in to learn more.

For example:

  • A testimonial from a previous client/customer

  • The most common compliment your product or service receives

  • The impact your product or service can have on an ideal client’s/customer's life

7. SHOWCASE PRODUCT/SERVICE

This is where you will introduce your audience (new and old) to a product or service you offer. Sharing information about the product/service you provide gives you the ability to show what you do. Get creative! Marketing is just repeating the same message over and over in different ways.

For example:

  • A limited-time deal or discount

  • The solution you offer for the problem your ideal client/customer faces

  • Showcase an older product or dazzle them with something new
